And the little guys make their way to sea hardly leaving a trace behind.

Once the sand temp and incubation period (45-70 days) is right, it is time to hit the road.

Loggerhead turtle nest emergence hole
It is hard to spot an emergence - this hole is a little smaller than the size of a hand.  If you look real close you can see the small tracks leading from opening towards bottom of picture.

The only trace they leave behind - faint little turtle trails starting a long journey.

Leatherback emergence
These guys are a little heavier footed - you can see the distinct hatchling tracks coming from hole on left.  Other holes around stake are from ghost crabs.
