My first encounter with a hatchling
We found this little guy at the bottom of a nest we were excavating - he may be the 1 in 1000 hatchling that makes it to adulthood.  Needless to say, I was a very happy camper.

Come on little guy...you can make it
While cleaning a nest the sand started to move and...a little head appeared.

It sure is a steep climb, but he's still trying
