All in a days work

Debbie is just a wealth of information and has been a great mentor.  Every time we make a run I learn something new.

This nest has hatched and is ready to be cleaned
Data is recorded on white stake along with another stake in dune with same information recorded.  If a nest washed away it can be reconstructed from measurements taken from the dune stake.  All the paperwork really does pay off.

Three days after a nest has emerged, we "clean/excavate" and record all findings (of course).  A lot of the time we will find hatchlings that have not found their way out; or hatchlings that have been killed by red ants, drowning or caught in roots.
